SEEKING ALIGNMENT BETWEEN EDUCATION AND EMPLOYMENT
The Istanbul Education Conference, now in its sixth year, provides a platform for rethinking the relationship between education and employment in light of changing economic, technological, and social conditions. Held under the theme “Seeking Alignment between Education and Employment,” the conference aims to examine from a holistic perspective how education systems can respond to evolving skill needs, how qualified human capital can be developed, and how the relationship between education and the world of work can be strengthened.
With the participation of leading national and international experts, the conference will address future skills, school-to-work transitions, youth employment, the transformation of vocational education, industry partnerships, and lifelong learning policies in light of current data, international experiences, and policy approaches. Different models and solutions for strengthening the relationship between education and employment will also be explored comprehensively throughout the conference.
The Istanbul Education Conference aims to contribute to policy development processes by providing an interdisciplinary and multi-stakeholder platform for discussing ways to strengthen the relationship between education and employment. We invite educators, academics, researchers, policymakers, public institutions, private-sector representatives, and civil society organizations, as well as everyone interested in considering the future of education from the perspectives of the world of work and development, to the 6th Istanbul Education Conference.
