EPAM (Education Policy Research Center) will organize the Istanbul Education Conference in order to bring current debates in education to the public agenda.
The Istanbul Education Conference, to be held on Saturday, 6 November 2021 at Istanbul Cevahir Hotel, will focus this year on the issue of “Skill Acquisition in the Digital Age.”
The Istanbul Education Conference aims to bring together experts, stakeholders, and policymakers to discuss a core issue each year. In this way, Türkiye’s educational challenges will be addressed from a global and inclusive perspective, and new interpretations and ideas will be developed.
Recognizing the need to understand global processes in order to take sustainable steps in education in an increasingly globalized world, the Istanbul Education Conference seeks to address education in Türkiye within a global perspective. These conferences aim to discuss education within the frameworks of economics, employment, development, sustainability, and democracy.
The Education Policy Research Center (EPAM), operating under the ILKE Foundation, undertakes the mission of monitoring, understanding, interpreting, and explaining Türkiye’s ongoing transformation process in the field of education with a sense of social responsibility, and developing policy recommendations accordingly.
EPAM aims to contribute to strengthening the field of education in Türkiye by producing knowledge that supports equal opportunity and justice in education worldwide, and by sharing this knowledge with society at large.
