Vision and Transformation in Teacher Education

The 5th Istanbul Education Conference, held this year, provides a strong platform for rethinking teacher education both at the policy and practice levels. With the theme “Vision and Transformation in Teacher Education,” the conference aims to take a holistic approach to current trends, innovative models, and international experiences.
Bringing together national and international experts, the event will address the skills and competencies required for 21st-century teaching, institutional models, policy recommendations, and examples of good practice. Structural transformation in teacher education institutions, the impact of new initiatives such as the National Education Academy, and alternative models emerging globally will be among the key focal points of the discussions.
While offering a strategic space for reflection and collaboration centered on the teaching profession, the conference also seeks to foster opportunities for vision-building, partnership, and engagement regarding the future of education. We invite all those-especially educators, policymakers, academics, and researchers-who wish to contribute to a multidimensional perspective on the future of teacher education to this important gathering.
Metro: You can take the M1A (Yenikapı – Atatürk Airport) line and get off at Davutpaşa–YTU station, then enter through Gate A of the campus. From the gate, there are ring shuttle services that will take you to the Historic Hammam Building.
Metrobus / Bus: Participants coming by metrobus can get off at Cevizlibağ station and take the 41T bus to Gate A of the campus. From there, you can transfer to the Historic Hammam Building via ring shuttles.
Davutpaşa Campus: The campus can be easily reached by private vehicle. There is a guest parking lot on campus that operates with the HGS system.
